Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

I'm right there with ya. This is my last dune season with a VW engine. Already bought a 2.4L, supercharged, Ecotec. More HP, 2X the torque, on factory parts.

Front end is done, motor and trans is in. Working on wiring now.

When I was down in the Oregon dunes the other day I saw a similar rail with a Honda engine in it but it was all chromed out ( :shock: Oooo-Ahhh, damn!). The rear suspension was a bit different as it looked like her was running two bars on each side or maybe it was a 4-link as I didn't look.

Nice looking job/conversion... impressed.
