Your complaining umsonst LOL!
It's a VW Speedshop TB. Not IDA or IDF bore spacing.

I realised that the fan pulley will contact the engine cover anyway, so it will get a spacer at the bottom :)

Both manifolds are shortened and welded together.

Needed some added material for porting.

This aluminium sucks(!) pretty easy to weld, but dirty as hell

Started to change the IC and trying to figure out a turbo placement.. :D

The IC was mounted sideways, and the air just went through 1 core. Now it will go through both cores, hoping to get a even cooler charge air

Anyone have input on the possible turbo placement?

If you look on the secong picture, the outlet of the turbo is actually at the exhaust port height. Way higher then for example a CB og "A1" under the apron header.

Something like this:

You need of course a lot bigger turbo but you already knew that :)

Cooling.. It will have a shroud :)

And I think I want the heavy turbo on the passanger side. And lower in the car than on top of the gearbox.

But nothing is permanent yet..

This took a turn a couple of week ago. Bought a Mendeola MD4-2D, with Rancho CV spool conversion kit, big 300M axles and lager wheel hubs. Need to convert the chassis to 5" narrowed axles etc etc etc.

Will take some photos when I've picked up the gearbox, and started on the mounting

Old gearbox removed and delivered to the new owner on Wednesday. I did a bunch of measurements for axle placement for the new transmission.

Preparing to patch some new silk bottoms on the driver side of the body. Hopefully I’m done on rust repairs for the most part after this weekend.

After that it’s some paint on the chassis and a waiting game for the Mendeola

I got the sill bottom changed during the weekend. Drilled the replacement part for spot welding, cleaned paint and cleaned the lip on the sill. Clamped it on and spot welded it on. Removed the clamps and the replacement part fell down

Note to self; use larger than 4mm hole for spotwelding and crank the amps up.. Redrilled for 5mm hole and doubled the amps. Now they all (except 1 spotweld held

Need to patch some rust on the front firewall. The corner above the master cylinder is pretty much gone.

And wondering about going for a flipfront. Front apron and spare wheel well is pretty rusted...
