Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Everyone else... see how Mikes post was not a loaded compliment? Not just an artificial atta-boy followed by a middle finger?

Don't be jealous Herbie... you're welcome to come sit in the car and make drunken race-car noises too...

... and its a romantic little two seater Mike... I can't afford the motor required to drag two extra people around..

116" WB, 84" Track with the weight of only two butts, and a ecotec should make this a mighty fun little ride...

...If I don't trade it for a Bronco...:D

Interesting... If I had the money, I wouldn't mind a pro chassis like yours.

Few questions/comments...

What kind of r&p is that? It not an end load, not a center load. Is that custom for the arms or do they sell mid-load racks and the arms built around that?

Are "you" planning on adding any diagonal bracing to the floor or are you relying on the flooring itself to brace that?

Also, the cross brace on the rear trailing arm (from pivot to pivot) I like it, is that a permanent piece or just there for mockup?

I like those double sheer upper front shock mounts, too. Very cleN install.

Keep the photos comming.
Don’t ever yield your gift of dream; Your knack for gumption, too. For “It’s the crazy ones that have all the fun," if dreamers yearn to do.

The rack is an "off the shelf" Saco rack... so... Yes...

?

:D

The floor will remain as is save for some seat mount tubes... but I do not intend to add any more bracing. As for the rear arms, they will stay as they look. (With the plating on the side fully welded of course.

I've just received some packages from Del-City and Waytek.

Hey Desert-Guy, where'd that one red wire go again?

560- short. concise. debateably honest.

Aside from Lotrats "did you sell it yet", yours is my favorite post in this whole thread...
