Thanks Wim!

I'm looking now into a issue with my Cu cylinders.

I think I need to buy a forged cil kit.. or only pistons..
Does somebody got any ideas?

Thanks

Je pistons or arias.

U can have these pistons custom made for your engine.

Thanks!

I measure all my parts and with 1mm deck height I get 8-1 compression.
This should be ok to me since it's a BUS engine, and I have a trailer (caravan)..

To be continued..

Edit:

Heads are 48cc
Pistons 14cc
1mm deckheight

Updates.. sold the CBR throttle bodies.. Bought BMW throttle bodies :D
Bought some original injection parts for the manifolds, and scored a linkage..

My Kid (1,5 Year) , wanted to paint the cover.. well I like it... still need to do a lot of mods and fitting as there are a lot of gaps.

Now I need to find out how I want to make the Turbo intake..
Like this:>---< (2 in one)
or {}---{} (cambers)
Any suggestions?

Pictures!

Great job so far! Ill be following this build, I'm doing a very similar setup for my ghia. I searched and compared for months on OEM turbos, I decided on the TD04 as well. Same displacement engine, with slightly higher hp capabilities. I really like to Porsche fan shroud too. Something I didn't see you mention what pistons you decided to use?

The TD04 comes in many different formats.

I'm using the TD04L-13T from a WRX and any info I have found says it is good for 394 CFM. at 14.7 lbs. boost.
That puts it at about 265 crank hp.
There are larger TD04's that will support much more hp. if you can find them.
Another good one would be the turbo off the STI. it should be good for a little over 350 hp.

I should have stated that I was referring to the TD04 from the WRX. Isn't the name TD04 just for the hot side?

Not really.....

TD04-9B.....Small turbo off of a twin turbo Dodge stealth. I have one on the shelf. I'm guessing it would support 150-200 hp.
Here is a pic of the -9B next to the -13T

Image

TD04L-13T...WRX Turbo I am running this one right now.

These are some other numbers off of a different website since the EVO site I had bookmarked with tons of info on the MHI turbo has gone away.

Just a few of the different numbers.

Flatback TD04 Turbos: 9B, 11B, 13G, 15G,
Superback TD04 Turbos: 13T, 14T, 15T, 16T, 18T, 19T

Any info I have read on some of these turbos is that the wheel sizes are larger on the hot side and cold side as the numbers go up of course.

Volvo, Saab, Dodge, Subaru and many others use some version of these turbos.

It probably designates the center section since it seems most rebuild kits cover most of the TD04 line.
Compressor and turbine housings and wheels range across many different formats.
