I guess I just caught the two guys on the wrong day then. I am still curious on how much energy they spent to talk s**t about someone just because they have a customer that wants something different. I thought the customer was always right.

Thank God for people that want to build something that expands the evelope and makes us all think. And thank God they can afford what most of us cannot. I don't appologize for my customer spending his money, it is his money. So what?

I only hoped for a discussion, civil and honest that would open up learned opinions and help me become more knowledgable.

So why are you fuming anyway, did they call you Mr. Yugo?

Hey,
Back to your original question.

I have a 78 stroker crank and 5.4" Scat rods in VW journal.

If I were you I would buy an 80 stroke in Chevy journal, and the Porsche length Chevy rods in 5.325".

To all:
I opened to this NG expecting to read about
Type 4 info and new info on FI and what do
I find? A war!
Dammit Randy, I told you to take off and
here you are still throwing dirt on Big Bad
John. Whats with you? You say you build
dreams for people and now its more like a
nightmare. We had the same problem one time
in another VW NG with a guy who called
himself Matt. All he did was raise cane with
with questions and then berate anyone who
answered him with an honest reply. If you
don't think this group is qualified in this
field, why are you still hanging around?
And making phone calls in the middle of the
night to Jake and announcing yourself by
your code name....Do yourself and a lot of
people here a favor..

I do not get it.
Everybody tried to help you and you just keep pushing it.
Jake and John earned highest respect for their effort on helping everyone with questions.

I have rarely seen people that respond to questions that fast than they do.

BTW intelligence is what you are lacking.

That Steve's post was too well worded to be mine, just thought I'd make that clear Image I do agree with everything he said.

the customer is not always right, they just think they are. :-)

I won't smile at them and take THEIR MONEY to make them feel good. The problem with what you are doing is dealing with rich dreamers, and you can have their $. I'll take a poor realist anytime.

This is phenomenal! Image This is probably the most lively I've ever seen this forum.

I dig the sarcasm with taking the "Mr.Dreamer" name. :P

I also dig the business I've done with both Jake and John. I'm very pleased with both of them and will be doing business with both again in the future.

But, hey, let's give it a rest, I'm a bit exhausted from all this heartpounding adrenaline being posted here.

Let's be Image cool and let everyone be happy with their own differences of opinion.

Sorry, Mr. Dreamer, I can't assist with this engine you're looking for. Jake, let me know where to ship the core. John, keep up the good work with this well respected internet start-up, I'll be using you as a source for things I'll be needing.

Hey, Mr. Dreamer, got a link to your business page? I'd be curious to see what you do, though I am but a humble "poor realist" who's bored at work and wants to surf a bit...

Have a nice day Image,
Steve

This bloodletting reminds me of a flame war I watched on the South Eastern VW Forum. Some members of a club somewhere in Alabama staged a war and obviously ran off the president. Interesting reading, but had little relevance to the spirit of the forum. It did, however, generate a lot of traffic.

Yep that was one thing on the Southeast Forum that was ready to see go! I was ready to shut the whole thing down do to the fact that I had to check it all day to make sure no one posted bad remarks.
It did though finally go away. Thank God!
Hope nothing happens like that again!
