181 Kymco Header Group Buy

I just got off the phone with Janet and she is sending out the missing hardware and gaskets to me today. She also explained that in fact Jeff had done our charges prior to her taking over this mess. So it seems He overcharged us before he left. She also agreeed that it was not right to charge folks for a product before the product was even made much less shipped. Anyway.. She also said the $325 price would not even cover her costs. She said she would think about the over charge issue and attempt to come up with a solution that is fair to everyone. What a mess Jeff seems to have left thing. At least we actually got an exhaust system finally. K-mann

When Jeff Bancroft turns up somewhere, be sure and post his whereabouts. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss his fraudulent [/b]use of my credit card for interstate commerce. "Jeff, if you can hear me honey, I know it all Janet's fault, babydoll, but I still want to help the FBI prosecute you.

I dont know who this "guest" is, but if you are going to throw threats around like that, dont be a coward and hide behind the "Guest" moniker.Anonymous wrote:When Jeff Bancroft turns up somewhere, be sure and post his whereabouts. I know Jeff personally, and he is not the bad guy you are leading on. I guess its easiest to pick on someone who isnt defending themselves. Ill tell you this, now that he has left Kymco, I wouldnt plan on seeing Kymco around much longer. The others involved dont know their ass from a whole in the ground. The way I understood the arrangement at Kymco is that the others(Janet etc) were the $$ end of the deal. Dont jump dont Jeff's throat, he would have made it right if he was there to finish the deal. But, he isnt, and all your whining should be at those who completed your order. Your beef isnt with Jeff, its with Kymco.
Jeff hasnt run off with your coin, Kymco has your coin, so stop whining at Jeff.

I know the following facts:
A group deal was made for Thing exhasut systems
The price was agreed upon at $325
I was charged $419 months prior to any work being done.
May charge turned into a September delivery.
I still have no exhaust hardware
Jeff left Kymco in the middle of the deal
No contact was made to me or others in the group after his exidus for Kymco
I only know Jeff from phone contacts but always had a great respect for his passion and expertise.
The Kymco exhaust system that I have now is excellent.
I was overcharged $94
I waited patiently for 4 months for my exhaust system
I still have no hardware but was promised by Kymco last Friday that it would be shipped that same day.
I have no real information about what caused Jeff to leave Kymco
I got a number of half sided stories that I suspect are fairly biased.
Prior to this event over the years I have only heard great things about Jeff. Where did Jeff go? After his shop got buglarized I know he was somewhat set back.
I posted one Guest entry unintentionally because I posted from work but it was not the one that Matt refered to. My post as a guest was part of the overcharge and no hardware thread. K-mann

Bob,
Mattt was talking about this post below. I did not write this and do not know who wrote it. This kind of stuff is not my style or feelings. K-mann

Matt sorry to have given you a wrong answer concerning this issue. But I`m willing to bet you knew I was in error all along and not mislead for a minute.
My mistake was in interpreting the signature of kmann to be an abbrivation of kubelmann.
Getting to where I wonder if the guest function is actually such a good deal. It is being misused here. Good luck. Bob Ingman

This message was not signed as or written by K-mann, Kublemann, RW or me (Ranganath... I do not and will not post stuff in this manner. It is just not my style.. This note had no signature at its end. Although it is posted as guest I have a good idea who posted it and understand why they did. Although the Kymco Thing header performance exhaust is perhasp the finest available, during this recent group buy many folks felt like they got a raw deal. I beleive in my heart that there was no purposeful wrong doing in this transaction it just fell the way it did,
as things sometimes do.. Just my 3 pesos worth.
BtW I was up ceramic exhaust paint coating my exhaust parts and low and behold I found on the ground a ziffy bag next to my shed that contained the exhaust gaskets and hardware sent to me via ups ground by Kymco. So now 4 month later I have all of my order and have been overcharged $94 from the orignal agreed upon price and I am ready to put this thread to bed. Enough said..

Quality of business
I have been planning on making an order with Kymco but after reading this thread I'm not sure I want to. I would think that if they knew these opinions were on the net they would be trying real hard to fix the problem and in a hurry.

I agree RW, the beef is with Kymco, not Jeff. Kymco, whoever is still running it owes you guys $94, not Jeff. How does anyone even know that Jeff overcharged you guys? There are other forces at play at Kymco. They could be the root of all the problems. I havent talked to Jeff in a while, but last I spoke with him, he was trying to buy out the others so he could make it the back into the great shop it once was. He just didnt have the capital to make it happen. Im assuming thats why he chose to leave.
Scott, what did you want from Kymco? I could possibly line it up for you since Im local. No worries about cross country shipping and credit card charges. Thats the beauty of being local, pay for stuff when you pick it up, and its to your liking.
