Oops, yeah, you're right. I was thinking of something else. It would make more sense for it to just cut injector duration in half.

Although, as an academic point, at those revs, if you cut fuel pump power, the cutoff would seem instant to you. The injectors are using enough of the total delivered volume that line pressure would drop in a small fraction of a second. Not truly instant (nothing is), but it would sure seem that way to the driver.

But I agree that the cutdown is done with injector duration. I actually knew that already, honest, for some reason I went ahead and wrote that without thinking much about it.
