4 pots up front are probably overkill, especially since a 4 inch wide tire won't be able to stop the car as quick as the brake wants to. I never had fronts alone, in fact I started with rears only, the got my fronts. I bought both sets of mine used, and the rears came up first. They definitely helped, however the ebrake isn't as good as they og drum setup. For what it's worth. I had to grind the heck out of my 4 pistons to make my ERCOs fit. They interfered pretty badly.

Yeah. I have been building a lot of pro touring type cars at work the last few years and I really like the look of a nice brake through the wheels. I have to keep reminding myself I'm not these guys. They are insane and must have mountains of money. I just finished another 70 camaro and that dude spent $20000 on wheels. Wheels!! I've bought houses cheaper than that! I built the first 70 camaro (very similar builds) about a year ago and its back at the shop because the guy wants to sell it. So the guy we built the second one for (he had it built for his wife) wants to buy that one too. I think they are both in the 175k range. Silly. Plus I'm building a crazy 1950 chevy truck for him too. Art Morris chassis, 1100 hp engine, the works. It's just nutty!

Disc on the front and drums out back , worked great at the end of this run

I think that's what I'm going to do for now. I have a cart loaded up with little things I need for the short block on the 1915 along with the brakes.

I was running 145 x 15's up front stopped prudy good , better then 135's lol :, they just slide on a slight panic stop

Looking foreword to the 1915 build!

Yeah I had 135's before which is why I never bothered with brakes. It would lock those at will. I have smart car tires so they are a bit wider. It will still lock them.... Once!

It's unfortunate, but I'm into the cal look. Really I kind of wish I would have put some 145's on it. Those smart car tires I put on it are wider, but they are tiny! Super short!

I am not a fan of 145s, too much sidewall. Smart car tires look more like a front runner, but with some width.

WTH are smart car tires?

I loved my 135's on it. Well... I loved the look anyway. The smart car tires are so damn small. I can't even slide a jack under my beam. Someone may have welded the adjusters in wrong though

A more modern option than just a 135 or 145 for our 15 inch wheels. Allows us to run a short tire for the big and little stance, but to actually have a little pad on the ground for braking.
