I thought it was 0,5 bar as that's the spring in the wastegate.
It turned out I had turned on boost control set at 1 bar... The spinning in second makes more sense now as that would be well over 500Nm torque

Well... The rear tires kept their traction and he did not go sideways. In other words - very low boost levels :D

Well, it has a LSD so it doesn’t go sideways that easy, but the tires did very much break loose. Car trembled and the camera even sagged downward a bit. Video’s only transpond that much of what you feel in the car.
I very much know that you know what I’am talking about 😉
Then again - and with some more memory digging- below 30psi you feel that all are low boost 🤣

Its actually not that great wheather for test ‘n tune in the road tbh. I might seek the dyno for some more boost and fuel setting tuning sessions.

True.. And I have always stated that there is no need to go turbo if the aim is only to do 10 seconds runs. Then it would be a lot easier and cheaper to go NA or NA with a small shot of nitrous. But that was years ago and I have hardly followed the scene. For all I know they are doing 8 seconds NA runs and 6 seconds turbo runs these days. :D

Keep on with the good work mister and please keep the rest of us in the loop. Your updates are highly appreciated.

The thing that interests me the most is this isn't just a race only machine. Myself and I belive I can speak for the largest percentage of readers here are using our machines for the street. Possible occasional stoplight drags or track days but primarily a car that gets driven about and can last without breaking anything.

I'm also in that team. For us not full-on dragracers I think its more of an achievement to run good times, even 10sec+ and not risking blowing up the engine.

My car is a streetcar, but with drag race abilities.

Just my 2 cents

Let us not get stuck in that race vs street car discussion. We have 6 seconds street cars today and that is a proven fact. To build a streetable 10 second aircooled engine is easy. To make it go 10`s however is a not that easy. My car was (still is) a road legal, street driven car and with a little punishment it did OK on a race track too.

Well, I haven’t actually driven it since the first few test drives as I found the trafic too busy and its just too quick to be safe in most instances.
Dyno time at the place where I have reference isn’t available for a while as they are extremely busy, so for now I parked it 😬
I have been very busy with other things as well, so its just waiting for better (and warmer) times now.

Otoh, I now do have four 3-valve OHC heads on my desk, which is pretty exciting.

But nothing to report on the turbo car for now, sorry.
