VW's aircooled mini SUV. Great for riding in the country, or cruising the beach.

The before top is almost an exact identical to mine right now. Bob P.S. the star filter is a nice touch.
bob,

we drive it every day, but try to stay out of the rain. it is a very pretty car, but no trailer queen or weekend driver. we are well into winter here, so it is put away, but in the warmer months it is my wife's daily driver.

i did not use a filter for the star effect, it just happened, but i do like that little sparkle in the photo. i think it is because of a small aperture setting on the camera.

David , very interesting to say the least. That car certainly has its share of ups and downs. I have followed its phases from day one. Thanks for sharing. I hope all future changes are permanent and for the good of both car and owner.

Photos of the Thing from Hell

Post by davidsigouin »

Here are some pics of my 74. Started Sept 2004, Finished June 2005.
Repainted artwork June 2006 to change to true fire instead of flame job. I started with a rotten basketcase. Made and installed my own floors, rockers, nose piece, fender extensions, windshield frame and cut my own glass. 100% new braking system, rebuilt 1600.....All body and mechanical work done by myself, initial paint by myself, Artwork by Yves Genesse
Enjoy

Not mine but here is one or two.

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Here's our '73. Being restored one paycheck at a time. The picture's from a party celebrating the fall of the Berlin wall.
