Brian, did you seal up behind your back sat? I ran a type1 in my notch for a week while I fixed the type3 motor and couldn't handle the fumes.

1970 Type 3 Fastback show car. Weighed just under 2800lbs powered by Type 1 2356cc turbo EFI. T04E Garrett running just under 16psi on pump fuel made 240hp atw. Ran best over 1/8 of 8.3@89mph

Turbo manifold, pipes, wastgate and intake manifolds in pic of Fastback are for sale. Pm me if you are interested.

Basis of that engine is now going into a Tube Chassis Drag Beetle. Change heads from Welded Volksy heads to comp eliminators, pauter rods, pauter rockers, Gt42 Turbo and 30 psi on methanol should make a bit more power eh? LOL
