Mark was such a delight to talk to! He secretly liked type 4’s did you know
Sorry to see Nigel crash btw. Unfortunately I had a front row seat…, but avoiding him in my lane was easy as I started à fraction later. Could have been much worse..

Well we disagreed on a lot of things during the build so doesn't surprise me he has no taste
When i see the vid of Nigel's car i had a horrible moment as he turned into your lane, good effort to avoid him and go into other lane
What was your best time?
cheers Richie

Richie, yeah, Mark and I got along just fine
Best was this 10.58 from night racing (which was late afternoon untill the jetcar came..you know what its like there):

That time earned me 4th quickest and 90 pounds!
Danny got the best time in and Mark did a 10.00 iirc and also won some prize money.
Traction after the burnout was even better and surprised me a bit, so I could have give it more power off the line.
But I didn't and it almost did a wheelie again and then fell on its face a bit. Still a good 60ft, but that didn't tell the whole tale I think as log showed it down to 2400RPM after the clutch engagement.. Well, there's always improvement I suppose.

And the most beautifull racecar there IMO:

Best of all though (and the goal of the past 10 years): I got my 10-second speedclub Oscar

Is it just me or was it a challenge to get enough grip?

Believe they really couldn’t tell what the root cause was.
I was thinking maybe a little oil on a tire could do this and you would not neccesarily see that in the pits afterwards.
Hope Nigel finds out so it restores his confidence quicker, at least thats how that works with me.

Congrats Wally,
End speed at 1/4 was 200Km/h. So that is 0-200 in 10 Secs.
Hahaha damn, big applause.

130mph is even (x 1,609) 208 km/u
and that was in 4th. I have another gear after that
But thats not needed on the 1/4 mi
