Hi Rade,
my car was built on September/26/1968, I ve got the birth certificate from the VW museum in Wolfsburg (it is close to, where I live).
and my car was shipped to sweden on the Okt/7/1968.
the official introduction of the VW 411 was on Okt/5th in germany!!
I bought it from the 5th owner, who's family owned the car since 1976. The previous owner restored the car a couple years ago. He did a really good welding job. Some small things just to fix by me, like the rocker trim. I found NOS rocker trims for this car, so I will put it on the car, soon.
Right now it is in the shop to get a new brake system.
My seat are vinyl, maybe that is the reason, while my door panels are two tone and yours not.
greetings Lutz
P.S. I like your new heat exchanger

I've understood that cars that had white or red interior had two tone door cards while others had single colour.
Here's the third early 411 in Finland:

After 45 years in the swedish Exile my car got the consecrate of the german TUEV. No it runs the first time since 1968 with a permanent german registration. The matching historical license plate it got as a welcome gift from me.
