yes i did, no changes in the out of round that i could mic out, or big end size.
vw Manuel says to replace to stretchers by pushing em out and putting new ones in, they grabbed exactly in the old groves made by the old bolts. wont call it a rebuild tho just a clean and bearing replacement, tho the engine was in good condition.

has not run yet but wont be long now, every thing is sorted except that :twisted: radiator

Seems like i will have to buy new standards to calibrate my external mics. This time i will get them from starrett.

Checked number 1 journal again and got 59.969 inches but i am wondering if my mic is out by .002 inch. If that is the case then the crank is standard, won't know untill i get new standards and take readings again.

If anyone is interested they can use this rod bolt in there stock rebuild rods.
