Nice to have you on the STF Class11Too. What are you building xpecs wise? Again Welcome to the STF.
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Hello,
snowman_slayer here, got my name from building snowmen, then running them over with my sandrail.
But I am new to building a sandrail and will need help, ident. parts.
First how do I know what type trans I have, gear ratio and year of transaxle.

Hello all,

I came across a really good deal for a beetle and had just sold another car for a nice profit so I bought it about 2 years ago. It sat as I sadly took on more hours working and I have just recently started working it thru. It was a bit of a basket case and had an engine fire at some point, but there appears to be no real rust except for a battery tray repair the PO told me about. I only have one day off a week so it's slow go, but I'll get it finished eventually. Here are a few pics since I bought it.

When I got it:

Thanks I found my first rust hole in the pan today :( , but as of now it's the size of an ink pen in diameter so I guess I shouldn't complain. I now have one door left to remove and the rear fenders. After the trunK (at the front?) and the glass I'll need to pull the body off.

Hi bug heads!!!

Post by landrocket »

My name is Ron, and I have a 1967 bug with a 1974, 1600 dual port engine in it. Her name is " Nancy" and I have had her about 6 months now. She is painted a faded pink color and when I saw her for sale outside of a restaurant, I could of sworn I heard her say, " please take me home and fix me up", so my wife was all for it and the next thing you know, she is in my garage. I have a ways to go, but it is really fun!!!! This forum is with out doubt the best I have come across.

This is my 3rd bug, the first one I won in a pool game many years ago, I think it was a 1965 and I found another one that was trashed, but had a rebuilt engine, so I swapped engines and ran the heck out of it. Then I found one a few years later and ran the heck out of that one too. I was out of the bug world for a number of years and am happy to say that I am back. Slowly, I am remembering stuff and this is really fun. What other car can you pull over and tweak the carb, hop in check it out and readjust after a couple of miles, these things are just too cool!!!! I hope to have some pics to download, soon. See ya, Ron (landrocket)
