I've been thinking about picking that one up. Would you recommend it as a good base to start with?sxuxrxf wrote:...Got the Empi 6-point cage installed. I did some tweaking here and there to get it to fit just right...

Like Herbie said...Yes I do. This is the 2nd one that I've used. I also had the Chenowth one, but I didn't like how it went together much so I used it as filler for everywhere else.
Here's 2 good links regarding the install (sorry, they are from TOS)

How would one work with a 3" body lift?

usually the legs have to be cut 3 inches IF you don't have a body lift, so it should be fine with the lift kit.SANDDUDE wrote:How would one work with a 3" body lift?

If you read through the 2 links, you should find the info. It seems that each cage is different. Empi...go figure. One guy had to add to the legs for his body lift. In both of my cages I had to cut off the bottom of the front hoop only. The middle hoop was the right height for no body lift in both cases. I also had to cut off some of the front-rear length to fit where I wanted it. The details are in the Empi link.

Back from the dead!
My car has changed hands twice and is now looking for a new owner. The changes to the interior and removing the wheels and 235's were done by the guy I sold it too.
The current owner has just been driving it for the last 4 years.
It still looks like a solid car if anyone is interested.
