ITS FINALLY A ROLLER!!
Gave it a quick coat of spray paint to protect it from the weather we have been having lately. Did hammer finish silver. I am thinking of powder coating it a very similar color with a bit more metallic. Got the rear arms hooked up and the pivot plates built. Put the floor back on...

Cool man! How did the parts that I made for you fit? How did that "bending the bar" go?

Looks sweet.

That is a great feeling isn't it?

Devastator... I still need to bend the bar and get that finished up. I spent more time than anticipated fixing an alignment issue with a rear arm. However, the fit so far is good!

And yes... it realy feels good to see it coming together!

Your buggy looks really good but sooner or later you are going to have to sniff smoke and do a whole $#it load of welds; it tires me out just thinking about it  . I did a double take on your springing system but it looks kind of stiff and it will probably reduce your clearance. I don't remember ever having seen that trick done before... very creative!

Lee... good eye on the springing system. In the front, I let too much nitrogen out of the front so it would be easier to work with. I need to charge those back up! As for the rear, I finally have a roller, so now I can measure the axles and get those ordered. After that, I can figure out where to mount the rear coilovers on the arms. I can then remove the piece of pipe I tacked in to hold her up!

Your build is looking good. This is some motivation to finish my playtech build I started.

OCMark... get to building! My plan is to have this one running by Halloween time frame. Not sure if it will debut at Glamis or Dumont yet!

Lol... we have a normal group of 5 buggies. We were talking about hitting Glamis early, but Dumont is much closer to home. Not sure when and where the first trip will be yet. We missed Glamis last season...

Today I started working on the rear again. Took a delay since we moved into a new house. I made a custom pivot plate to offset the fact that the holes were drilled in the wrong spot. However, the passenger arm is crap all the way around and the camber is way off. Guess I will be calling Mooreparts on Monday to get a replacement arm. That brought the progress to a screaching halt!

What a shame. Be sure to check the new one as soon as it arrives.
