white bumper, green rims, voila.
Sneaks, how about Saturday around noon for a visit to New Hampshire? Should I call ahead?
And could you e-mail me your address?
Fuser, please come on Sunday???? Inaugural drive, you know you want to. I'll be showing up at Tfest probably around noon, I hope y'all will still be there by then.

Today's accomplishments:
- directionals now work
- hazards now work
- parking lights now work
- dome light now works
- rear camping light now works
- license plate light now works
- all lenses back on
- headlight rings cleaned, polished and mounted
- instrument panel re-attached
- all dash and indicator lights functioning
- inside door handles now actually open the doors
Supposed to pour tomorrow so I don't know what will be done. Thursday is going (hopefully) to be warm so I'll finish tuning the carb and adjusting the choke, patch the floor. Friday is interior and trim paint day. Saturday I'll replace the rod ends, pack the bearings, etc.

Dang you got a lot done today!
Plus, he runs
I'm so impressed that he made it down the block and back and turned around.
Would I be in the way if I watched some of the work you're doing on Saturday?

Bumpahs done. Floor by driver's feet patched, interior vac'd and cleaned out. Tomorrow AM I'll get up early (I hope) and start laying some color inside. Didn't get as much done as I had hoped this week between weather, work and unexpected relative visit:(

One word.
COLD!
Started painting the inside and then thought...ummm...I'm not sure she's going to like this so I stopped until she came. She likes so tomorrow I'll finish up the green inside (I have something extra I'm gonna do too, but its a suprise). We walked around him a bit and checked everything out. Made some decisions: we all like the white bumpers and wipers, the grill will be white, mirrors will be white, dash black. Got some paint on ourselves. She helped me clean up and fix the leaking valve cover, while we were down there we went over valve adjustments and oil changes. We went over ignition (she has a great grasp of physics so this was easy) and tune ups (no points, big bonus), changing fuel filters, fuses, washer fluid, stuff like that. She is very eager to learn, I LOVE her attitude. She is a VW person to the bone, she gets it. She started him but because of the valve cover gasket, she didn't get him to move but at least she got him to run! Knocking things off the list daily, will keep plugging away at it. Fuser, we need to a field trip to Ossipee, she wants to crawl the junkyard and TSC. Lexi is awesome:)

When you plan the Ossippee trip, give me a head's up, I'd love to find another source for parts. Depending on what you're looking for, there are some other places too, such as Belmont.

Definitely will, David. It would be cool to hang out for a while with you...other than in my driveway:). Actually, that goes for the rest of the New England gang. Are you going to Transporterfest tomorrow? I can't wait to check it out and will be cool to immerse myself in the atmosphere.
White bumpers was definitely the right choice, now just have to do the white on the grill

Interior is looking good. I wasn't too sure on the color but now that it is laying out on it, I like it.

Wow, suprising how a the simple addition of painting the rims and putting hubcaps on can make such a big difference
