The Hotrod Pauter 3,5ltr NOS engine will be dyno'd as well if all goes well. Plus the usual 1200-2850cc screamers 8)

sounds good and interesting with the cars. can't say now if i have time that day but definitly an option and i want to dyno also again after the manifold change. but should do this on the same dyno as usuall to have a comparision.

Right it's the car from my friend, he also builds a nsu prinz 4 with alfa romeo 33 midengine.

If you want to see if your lack of power is due to the twin scroll turbine being to large, you can loosen up the housing mounting and slip in a stainless steel brake shim so that one side of the scroll is blocked off, directing all the energy through the other side. If you get a significant improvement in power, then the turbine housing is to big for your engine. Can't leave it that way permanently, but it is a pretty good test for a twin scroll housing. If there is no improvement, the problem lies elsewhere.

initially I had planed on going twin scroll and using the quickspool valve. :)

But it was all just to cost prohibitive for something that I'm going to daily drive.

not possible because i have a twin scroll header. i would never use a twin scroll without the right header. there are alot of good single scroll turbos for that...sec. my turbo is definitly too small ...nice for a street racer but hp wise there is way much more into a 1641cc. on the other hand torque is amazing....for a dayli driver or a weekend worrior very good.
yesterday my hose for the wastgate broke and i wend wery fast into the boost safeguard of the megasquirt have seen shortly 1,6 bar in about 3500 rpm. i am happy that my gearbox still likes me. :roll:

my next engine will geht way much more cam and a bigger turbo. but it'S hard to open the engine without a fail...it still drives like a cat, so easy to drive and so torquey if push the pedal. i see boost from 1200 rpm in 3. if wanted.

its strange on the one hand they use twin scroll but with a normal header and than using a quick spool to do what the twin header would be good for. those quick spool only make sense on very huge turbos. the price and what it can do more than a normal twin scroll header is a huge gap that i do not understand. there are other ways to make a turbo spool faster if needed.

my next turbo is from the opel gt 2.0 its a 264 hp stock unit. that thing spools extreme fast and make some nice numbers. even the map is amazing. its also not the extrem hp turbo but also will keep a 1641cc very torquey.
komes with wastgate, internal pop off and boost control valve.

Maikäfertreffen in hannover was very fun.
Car goes straight at gps 200km/h and in the mix its still unter 8 liter per 100km.
At about 5:00 my car makes a soft sprint.

You def inspire me with the small turbo, i think my kkk14 will work on my stock sp 1641.
