CONCLUSION!......drum roll........It is hereby declared that upon running the tests suggested by Ray, DB, et al, that the culprit has been found to be the pressure sensor ( leak down test). Replaced it and she runs again! Now back to regular programming and chasing down all the little problems she has
. Thanks for all the support guys, each and every poster, cheering and insulting! Couldn't have done it without!

Way to be persistant! By the way....a whole series of fiascos such as you have encountered, is what originally started my learning curve.....and started a hardback log book for the glove box, of how to recognize each problem for what it is, when it happens.
See...its like this....you will not see the problem happen again...until....about two days after you brain deletes that unused memory cell, containing the correct answer.

Forgive the lack of attention...
Pressure sensor = fuel pressure regulator (L-Jet, if I remember correctly, so no MPS)?

Every little thing each and every one of this gang had said was of great help to me. Its like being alone in a dark tunnel and hearing a voice, even if it said come and I'll rob you silly you still go to it
This thing with the log book is so true with me having done a repair and it happens again 2-3 years later and i am so pissed that i don't remember how I so cleverly did it
, then!. Yes I meant the press regulator not sensor

No problem, I was confused, not an unusual state
Good deal on the fuel pressure reg, that's a cheap easy fix!
Emoticons are back!
