McMaster Carr has some adhesive backed rubber pads that fit perfectly on the end of the 930 axles. I'm not sure how long they will last though. I usually inspect them or put new ones on each race so they only get about 400 miles use each time...

geez.. mine are horrible. Apparently my axles are a shade long.

Or allowed to slide a little far in the CVs...

Well, it wasn't the spiders. Just the pinion! Doh! Nothing else hurt. No reason for a Weddle R&P to trash itself in such a short order. Was told just bum luck. Empi 930 CV's look brand new for reference. They live at a comfy 22* max angle so they have it easy compared to some.

Got it back, a little butt sore! But I should be up and back at it for the classic!
