I am running 195x14's . has the shimmy problem ever been related to not running stock size 185x14 ?

There are some folks running some tall fat tires on their Things. I wanted to keep my stock. What was on it was P185 R14. These are Passenger car tires. Continental, a OEM company for VW, recomended that the current replacement for the original fit tire is now the Vanco 8. VW had heavy duty what we call LT-light truck tires, or Load Range C tires on the Thing originally. So, size doesn't matter, it's stifness. Ok...that sounded scary...
