You might have a warped front brake rotor.... Requires a magnetic base and a dial indicator to confirm my theory..

Oddly enough.... We own several VWs and I had my 06 New Beetle Diesel in for oil change and 20,000 mile doctor visit. I asked the Service Manager if he knew or could they work on the Thing. I told him what was wrong and the fact that I REALLY need to have the rear suspension spring plate busings replaced... Not only will they fix it, but he offered the use of a loaner while they do it! So a "real" VW shop is going to look at my front brakeing jiggle and replace my bushings! I'm very surprised! I'll let you know what they discover the problem is...

What did you find out, did they get it fixed?

Your report back on your unique experience having a Thing serviced at a factory service center would be great to hear about. Tells how it went.
