opinions of radio glove box & under dash mounts

Post by 2332 baja »

I've recently purchased a 65 T1 daily driver. It's got the factory radio block-off plate and an unmolested dash. I drive 40 miles one way to work and need some tunes to pass the time. I'd like to hear some opinions on the glove box radios and under dash mounts that everyone sells. Also, I noticed that most sites list the glove box for later model cars,,, will they even fit a 65?
Thanks in advance,
Sam

I had good luck cutting my aftermarket radio to fit the dash--not the other way around. I just pop the face off, trim the chassis enough so it fits the opening from behind, and replace the front.

If you'd like me to get some pictures, let me know!
