best cam for a buggy?

I'm putting a type IV in a manx style buggy. It's a 1.7 out of a 914 and I was going to machine it so it could take 2.0 pistons. I use the car as my main transportation and was hoping for suggestions about a cam, crank, and valve sizes. I do take it off road a bit and it ways about 800lbs. But I would like a somewhat economical screamer.
