There is a guy who posted on the transaxle forum who has a 004 four speed in a sand rail that he bought. It came with a 1.7L type 4 engine. He wants to use it if possible. I identified it for him. It looks a little "weathered" on the outside...but you never know. I suggested....rightfully so....that its a bit impractical to use a type 4 tranny in anything that does not require you to...simply due to rarity and scarity of parts.
I pointed him toward the 411/412 forum. It has a 44mm slave. Ray
