exhaust fumes

have a 73 camper recently purchsed, been chasing a few oil leaks, got that fixed now I got exhaust fumes. Any body have any ideas?

It could be a bad connection at a heater box. But that would not usually put fumes inside, unless you are using the heat. How is the rear hatch seal? The fumes could be getting sucked in past it. Any holes in the body into the passenger compartment, especially in the back?

Is the charcoal cannister present and properly connected?

The charcoal cannister is to prevent raw gasoline vapors from leaking into the atmosphere. It has nothing to do with engine exhaust.
