On Saturday Aug 4 We will have a VW get together at OE VeeDub in Lake George Colorado. We will provide sub sandwiches, soda, chips and iced water. Theer will be high Quality German VW parts on display. This will be a pre show prior to heading to Bandimere for the annual Bug In. Some folks will camp or motel in Teller County and others will head to Bandimere and camp there on Saturday night. Either way lots of VW folks to share a good time with. We need more Thing owners to attend!!!!

This is a good story. Hang on... As planned (and as featured in Hot VW 12/07) We had our gathering in Lake George, CO at OE Vee Dub on Saturday prior to Bandimere. My very own Herr Kubelmann is displayed on the pages of that thar magazine. My son came out for the event along with a number of old time VW pals. My daughter headed out to work. We all proceeded to mount our VW treffen en-route to Bandimere, when i daughter walked home down out mountain road to explain that while eating a bagel and not watching the road ( took massive air) and stuffed her 1996 Subaru Impreza nose first into the county road ditch. Needless to say we all spent the rest of the day on a major extraction mission. Good news, we got the car out without damage and she was fine. Bad news, we missed Bandimere as a result of her awesome driving feat. But then again, there is always next year.

That would have been great. You could have met a bunch of nice VW folks including my son (another VW nut) It is always a pleasure to say hi to a VW pal.

We all hope to have or Things "ready" I have one under the knife and another that needs a few things and my 79 Bus is in need of an engine rebuild.
