My gas pedal on my '72 Campmobile sometimes 'sticks' a little bit and I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas? I can try to use WD-40 or something to lube the pedal and the connecting cable, but not sure if that will make a difference of even if I'm on the right track.
Any suggestions?

First make sure nothing's binding in the linkage at the engine - grab the part that the cable connects to and stroke it. No problem?
Next drop the pan under the front and have a look at the bellcrank that converts the up & down motion of the pedal to fore & aft movement of the cable (watch it work while a helper pushes the pedal). Odds are you'll find the problem in this area. If everything seems fine here, the next suspect would be a problem with the Bowden tube between the chassis & engine.

Lately I've seen two busses that have come into my shop with the gas pedal bent over to the right at the hinge where it's welded to the floor. This caused the linkage bar from the pedal to the bellcrank, that Marc mentioned, to bind on the hole through the floor. Bending the pedal back to it's original position fixed it in both cases. Kinda weird since I hadn't seen this in a long time and two busses in as many days come in with the exact same problem. . . Hope this helps. Good Luck!!
