Hello,
I've recently purchased a 1973 412, and have been going through it with a fine toothcomb.
I've noticed that the clutch master cylinder is weeping slightly, so will need replacement before too long. Does anyone have a source for these, or could anyone know where I can buy a rebuild kit?
Many thanks
Rhodri

Do a search here. Lots of discussion. Sources are difficult but available. Beware if they are very old stock. They are likely to have hardened cups and will soon leak. However...you can take the cups and flap valves from a vanagon master cylinder, lap your cylinder carefully...and it works perfectly. You cannot use the vanagon pistons though. Yours should work perfect unless they have bad corrosion under the brass flap valves.
You can also build a simple bracket and bolt the vanagon cylinder right up. You may need o have a flare addapter made for teh steel line...I can't remember. Take a look at one...and teh light bulb will go on in your head right away. Ray
