Ghia Update

Since I got a new job right after bringing my Ghia home, I've spent a lot less time than I'd like out in the shop. My goal for the last few weeks has been to spend at least 1 hour a night working on it, but it's been so cold that I don't think I got out once last week. So far this week though, I've spent 2 hours a night.
Here's what I've been doing.
Cutting apart the rockers. I'll have to replace the outer and inner on both sides, but the heater channel is good.
Picked up a couple long blocks for cheap. Hopefully I'll have enough refurbishable parts to get me on my way to a good engine.
I've welded up one door opening, and I''ll have the other side done tomorrow. I hope to have the body off the pan this weekend so I can start work on restoring the pan.

More pics of the heater channel repair, please.
Would you mind if I moved this topic to the Karmann Ghia forum? I think it will get better attention there.

This is as much as I have done on the rockers so far. I cut enough to know what I was going to need to do, but completion of the rockers will wait a bit I think. I'm going to concentrate on the pan first.
I just got finished welding up the door openings. This weekend I'm going to try to get the body off the pan.
