I have a complete pedal cluster that has been taken apart, new parts have been gathered and are ready. Now it needs to be painted with Self etching primer and put back together. It took a bit to get enough oe part to make an "as new" pedal assembly. I also have my soft top frame completely apart, media blasted, rivets drilled out, all parts straightened and ready for reassembly with stainless steel killer bolt kit and new soft top. A part of the road car resto. Things are cold and snowy and busy here so not much major body repair is getting done. Still looking for those interior parts behind the rear seat backs for that resto/rust repair

Has anyone worked on the passenger side wiper pivot? I think that mine is seized. When the wipers are on, the nut inside turns.

The inside nut is supposed to turn on the pivot. There is an outside sleeve that bolts through the windshield frame. The inner shaft rotates as the end of the shaft is secured to the wiper arm. This pivot should be greased now and again for easy and smooth rotation. Good lubrication here will increase wiper blade speed.

OK, I figured that the shaft was seized and spinning in the housing. Thanks!

My preference is here rather than the "other" site. I read bot, but like the more friendly attitude here.

We here on STF have one focus and that is support and interaction. Those can only happen when folks visit. We have no commercial ventures here even though many of us have some other involvement in the VW world. We all are here to support VW lovers everywhere.

This is a great site and it really is getting better day by day if you really look at the big picture. Here's an idea I will throw your way Kubelmann. How about some STF Thing stickers, I would like to see something like the Off Road forum did, only Thing related.

Maybe a hard top Thing and a vert Thing and something like it is just a STF Thing done like above.

Check out the banner on my web pages under development. It hs those Things like you mention. Maybe that would make a good sticker. Let me know.

Let's see if anyone has anything to post up also. I really think it would be cool having a STF THING sticker. bajaherbie might want to get his too. He is a sticker freak.
