are ships from a greek company called ANEK LINES.
and they travel to Crete island.
the port is called Pireaus. is the there where ancient port of athens was.

Sorry for the delay..
That's a Ferry.. man the Greek dudes know how to travel. In the US ferries are stripped down car haulers with bench seats.
For about $100 per night you get a private window room.. nicer than any cruise ship I've been on.. wake up in the morning and you're in Crete.
They also have a 3 star cafeteria - where else in the world can you buy a plate of stuffed grape leaves for $5?
