I just uploaded a new avatar, but it appears as a red X

Ive seen a few other members whose avatars dont appear either.

Is it my machine? Or is there a bug?

Edit: tried to upload another and saw this on the bottom of the screen :

Have to look into it.

Permissions on the ../images folder are not set correctly.
