Balljoints....huh?
I found a bunch forsale. The guy is advertising them as NOS. He has about 18 of them and said they came from a warehouse he bought out....so....what are they worth? (fair market value.) he wants $60 each for them....but that seems a little high, what do you guys think?

Thats about right. Thats fair.
Ball joints have never been cheap for this car...they are huge and have never been made by cheapy aftermarket high volume/cheap labor companies like Brazilian or Taiwanese or Mexican.
There were ever maybe two companies ...all OEM that made these so as long as theyare not rusted...they are high quality gold.
The cheapest I haveever paid for a type 4 balljoint....back in the Early 90's was about $45 plus tax. That was also because I knew the guy and he had the joint on the shelf for at least 10 years...and was selling it at cost.
Average list price for these has been about $55 in the 90's. Buy what you need and hook him up with this forum so they don't get lost or wasted.
If they end up on e-gay they may go for a lot more. They do no grow on trees and are no longer manufactured. Be sure to do the grease fitting and gasket mod on any new ones youy install...and they will last nearly forever. Ray
