this mesage is for the porsche fans ,, i have see this week in my local news papêr ,car for sale section ,,one tractor porsche diezel 1960 ,,for sale ,, have you see that beefore ,,vw and porsche can build the diezel air cool motor ,,during the year 50-60,,albert

Did you know Porsche designed an air-cooled flat 4 diesel for the Beetle back in the early 50's? Apparently it used the same crankcase as the Porsche 356...

I am on a bit of a Tatra binge at the moment, it seems they developed an air-cooled flat-4 for their Tatraplan model, it is just like a fancy Volkswagen!

Oh and Tatra have just released the first air-cooled diesel engine that meets the stringent Euro 5 emission limits
