Dual plugs in a wbx?

Post by Turbinepowered »

Anyone here done it, seen it done? I ran a search for "dual plugs" and "dual spark" on this particular subforum, and turned up only my other thread.

Is there meat enough in the head to do it?

Sounds like nobody here has done it.

Since the heads are water cooled, you will most likely need some welding.
I can't imagine drilling the holes for a second set of plugs and not hitting water.

It seems you're right.

I may try to find one locally so I can pull a head and take a look at it.

Of course, you will have the same problem as an air cooler,
avoiding the pushrod tubes.

If someone ever posted pics here of a WBX head cross section,
you might get some ideas there.

Yup, as I said there... looks like a lot of work, not worth it unless you're really after that last eking of power or burn quality, and even then you'd be sorely restrained from the optimal points.
