i am restoring a 74 thing . i am going to elimate the canister
under the hood and the charcoal canister. i know i have to vent the
gas tank. how is the best way to do it.

If you are doing a true restoration then why would you eliminate the stock charcoal canisters? Probably the best way to vent it would be to maintain the existing stock set up.
