Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Had the Baja out on the road (more than just around the block for testing) last night for the first time in 13 years.
Put about 20 miles on it and had no problems.
Thanks to Qurtys Lyn, my son, for the use of his engine to make this happen (it does have the intake and carb off my class 9 race car on it though).
When QL gets back from New York I'll get some pictures up of what has been done to get it back on the road.
The bad part is he will be driving it more than me because his car is undergoing body work.
Hence the loaner engine.

Did you have a silly grin on your face the whole time? I know I would have.

Possession is nine-tenths of the law... beside he probably owes you more than an engine anyway.

Someone stole your choke! Dig the stinger patina.

that carb and intake is actually for the Class 9 Race car so theres no need for a choke so we just got rid of it.
