Just put the engine back in my bay to move it around for welding. put it back same as always but the acelerator cable now seems to be about an inch short. Can get it connected, just, but only with carb wide open. not snagged up on anything just seems to have shrunk!!!!!!

Hey, the weather's been pretty good over your way. I don't think it shrank.
Take a close look up by the pedals where it attaches to make sure everything is right. Then crawl under and examine where the cable exits the body and "jumps" to the engine. If it's all enclosed, you're probably in good shape. But sometimes the correct tubing is not in place and the cable gets caught up around something. A quick look should tell.
Finally, examine where the cable goes through the tin on the front breastplate of the engine. Cable should be free.
Hope you find something obvious.

Hi doc, thanks for the reply,
It was actually simpler than that, dont rely on a stroppy teenager to do up the top engine mounting bolts for you

" yeah yeah they're tight"!!
Still had a half inch of thread to go so the engine was leaning forward.
Fine now, done it myself!! Cheers
