Use baking soda in your hand held sand blaster.maineshops wrote:i have a small rust spot just ahead of the rear fender in the rocker panel. what is the best way to approach this problem? i know it will be the size of a dollar when i start scratching at it.

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Baking soda will strip paint, remove rust, and is great for working in small areas it won't damage glass or rubber. Since it is rusted thru make a patch panel and weld it in, after blasting.maineshops wrote:its rusted through. sorry for the confusion, and i don't want to mess with it until i hear some definitive answers about this kind of fix. i don't know too much about cars.
