How much boost???

Hey Everyone,
Just getting ideas together here.
I have a T34 ghia that I am hotrodding. Was thinking of a wasserboxer but was unsure about the power making capabilities with boost.
How much boost can a wasserboxer handle and what sort of power can I expect? I was looking at running two smaller turbos GT17s and about 15-18 psi, is this possible?
Also how big a radiator will I need?

Thanx
Rob

A correctly prepped Wasserboxer can handle more boost than you'll ever throw at it.

What do you want...300, 500, 800HP? There are street-driven wasserboxers putting out this HP. Information on these builds are on this forum...

What can a stock 2.1 make hp wise? What would one with just some mild modifications, cam, cleaned up heads, etc with mostly stock components make? I am becoming very interested in this swap.

I guess my real question is what would it take to make 225-250 hp with a wasser?

A strung out .48/.48 AR T3 would do it (though I wouldn't try).
A decently sized T3/T4 hybrid would do it.

There's a difference between doing it and doing it well, but it shouldn't take much at all to make 225-250 HP (and on pump gas, no less).

stock MV 2,1
T3/t4 hybrid on e-85 makes 280-300hp on 15-17psi boost

A 2.1 liter crank can be offset ground to 80mm. I believe a set of flat top stroker Cimas will fit in wasser boxer barrels Or a set of custom dished VW pistons. If you go normally aspirated at 10 to 1 with ported heads, and engle 120 and 48 idas, the wasser boxer will easily put out 155 horses. a wasser boxer at 14 to 1 would pump 200HP. As it is, i have heard of 1.9 liter motors with ported stick heads and 44 idfs and an engle 110 put out 137 horses. A 76 by 94mm could easily see 250 horses with a Tbird turbo T3 60 .63, and the stock manifold set up is perfectly suited for turbo. Just up the injectors and use a Haltech injection box...Its to bad somonedoesnt make a wasser jacket adpater kit, the you could use an 88mm stroke with 94mm pistons, just shim the base of the stock cylinders and use stroke cimas that are pocketed with a 5.352 rod...
