Can't update email address

I'm trying to update my email address in my profile. It says:
The e-mail address you entered is not allowed to be used.
I'm switching from Yahoo Mail to Google Mail, are Google addresses not allowed?

Had a permission set wrong. I fixed it. you should be able to change email now.

Follow these steps, and let me know what happens via PM.
Once you enter the "User Control panel", click on Profile. Several options are there for your use. Use "Edit Account Settings", and type in your new address. Make sure you confirm your new address. Next, click on "Board Preferences" and answer all questions. Next is an option. Under Profile enter your location. City and State, or just State.

I changed your email address without issue. You will no longer receive STF mail til we fix.
Try again to change. Are you entering your change in the confirmation box directly below the email box?
If you can't change it, send me the new email you want and let me try.

I don't see why. The error is quite accurate and I just changed my email to a different non-google pop address with problem. Doc explains the issue further up the thread.
