The German Jeep
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Re: The German Jeep
Great post and thanks for sharing. Gotta wonder how much time, effort and money was expended to put that whole thing together.

Re: The German Jeep
Heard an original copy of this book fetched over 100 Euro recently on ebay. The original German manual copies for the Kubel and Schwim sell for anywhere between a few hundred and over a 1000 Euros - depending upon the condition !
Mercifully, my 181 manuals were more reasonable !

I like this;
"If the vehicle must be kept out-of-doors and if the crankcase cannot be drained, cover the engine with a tarpaulin. About three hours before the engine is to be started, place fire pots under the tarpaulin. A Van Prag, Primus-type, or other type blow torch, and ordinary kerosene lanterns may be used. With due consideration for the fire hazard involved, the flame may be applied directly to the oil pan."
