Torsion housing pics

74 Ghia torsion housing...torsion bar was stuck in the splines (rust). Had to cut away and remove the end cap to use a drift to hammer out the torsion bar. I used a large washer as a cap and tack welded it into place. Then use some good quality sealer around the edge between the welds. I could then use a plastic cap in the hole to help keep moisture out, but I could also remove it to apply grease or remove the bar (again) if needed. The cap and area it was pressed into.
