radio hole

howdy l'm replacing the dash on 69 ghia. but the radio hole has been cut for a newer radio. who ever did it was butcher it looks bad, plus the dash does not fit flush. the dash came karmann ghia parts with no
instuctions. no after the sale customer service can not recive return email on the how do's? what next?

I eliminated the speedo fuel gauge and speaker on my dash. You will need to cut a piece of metal to fit the hole and weld it in. It might be easier to cut the hole out bigger than just patching a butchered hole. Post up some pics so we can see what you are working with.

howdy l needed tips on repairing the hole, the metal around the hole is
stretched l looked at the eastwood web page got some idea's l was thinking on what l stated about karmann ghia parts. good people, great

Do you have a welder? If not then unless you can borrow one you could replace the damaged area by pop riveting in some sheet metal. Then fill it in and sand it down. If your dash has a cover on it then pop riveting might be the way to go.
