What is a 'healthy' running engine pressure

Hi - I just fitted an oil pressure gauge to my 411.
On a warmish start it read about 55psi on tickover.
When I ran the revs up to about 2500rpm it rose to about 60psi.
On tickover when almost warmed up, it was around 45psi.
Do these figures sound ok?
Cheers
Kieron

Thats actually pretty good. i would expect that on full warm up with a good stock pump and normal oil....it would be about 25 psi at idle and between 50 and 60 psi at running speed. Ray

Thanks Ray - I thought it was running well!

25 psi at a warm idle sounds really high to me. on startup i make about 40 at idle, then once I hit operating temp, 180 or so, i think idle drops to 15-20 running 1540 rotella

Its only slightly high....bearing in mind this is with good oil and new pump and engine. I don't like to drop below 15 at idle. Ray

I've fitted a high (20 psi) warning switch and it never drops to that level even when warm.
