It's the Kolbenschmidt logo.

I would think k.s have heard how many wasser heads AMC are shifting worldwide every year, and decided to enter the market, they look identical to AMC rather than the German original. quality will be o/e standard i would think , but do they compete on price with AMC?

yes these are similar to AMC. possibly made by AMC for KS.
the casting is said to be better.
but valves etc. are not as good as Genuine VW.

Thamk you guys for input,
I bought them with .....no valves.... strange saying for somone who lovese two strokes LOL
They were bought on the biggest car and motorcycle jumble weekend in europe in Mannheim germany.
I bought them for 100 euro :P but ad the beer and feul they cost a fortune
So I can't say if they can compete on price on the AMC heads. Have some very bad AMC valves laying around, so I buy VW valves to be safe.

Thanks and greetings from holland

The milling marks on the intake flange and other details look identical to AMC, and the KS is in exactly the same position as the raised AMC would be. I'd be wiling to bet those are made by AMC but branded KS. Show close-up pics of the combustion chambers and I think I could verify, there are distinctive mold marks that show up in every AMC wbx head, I've had over 40 go thru my hands the last couple years.

OK here some pics....

The KS logo is cast on the heads.
I hope they are close enough.
Found a pdf file of all the heads they make http://www.allautoparts.ru/closed/alex/ ... %D0%A6.pdf
They do indeed make them for the DF engine.

      Fastback you are right
I compared them with the 025 101 375 heads, wich I thought they were from a 2.1 They are not 025 101 375C heads (I was so convinced that I did not check the part #). The heads I bought are from a 1900 DG
I did found the C heads also, in another box....
Now some porting and cc'ing must be done

Thanks again,
I love this message board

As far as I am aware, 1.9 DG/DH has the same heads as 2.1's.. only the 1.9 DF has different heads as it has smaller valves.. all the combustion volumes are in the pistons.. all of the DG/DJ/MV heads I have I have are the same (as far as I can tell) as each other apart from small casting mould/manufacturer/foundry features.. this would account for any small differences in head chamber volumes..

I'll have to go look at ETOS to check now....
