Prosjekt Schrotthaufen 411E 1972 modell

Hello folks!

I have joined this forum because the are not so many of this car in Norway.

Here is a 411 from Norway. I have pick up the car and I have some plans for that car. But befor I can start use this car, I have to change clutch. Maybe I should weld some rust on the floor. I will use the car like wintercar :)

Here the car is parked in my workshop. To change clutch and fix some other small problems. Like heater and rust on the floor.

I have buy me some BMW E30 318 front springs. I think fit it on the car in the winter. I have not think to cut some rings. The car will be some lowered in front whitout cut rings?

wow,,nice car,, i am living in the contry with the snow,,if you can put the winther tire with nails ,,use that, they are excellent in the snow and if you can put 100 pound or 50 kilo in the front trunck,,it is betther,,good luck in your restauration,,albert

Hello!

I have winter tire whit nails. :) Better on snow and ice.

Today I have been some hour in workshop. Must weld some rust on the floor. Just to keep snow and water out. I changed the taillight and some fun inside the car ;) A old sports steering wheel ( I dont remeber the name in english? )

Next week I will put the engine back and hope the clutch is good and ready for use at the winter! :)

hello,,chevron,, the wather drip on the floor by an hole onder the windshield seal,, if you lift up the fuse support ,, you can see many rust on the terminal wire,, or on the realy,, bad edea of vw to make an hole onder seal in the glass corner,, you can seal the hole by inside ,with metal glue it is only an2 mm. hole ,you can see the hole with a good light,, and seal the rubber with rubber seal,,if you want a pict were is the hole send me pm,albert

Today I get the car finish :) And it start and the clutch is perfect! Now can the fun start!

Looks like you've got a really good winter car, congrats! Does it have an Eberspaecher heater? That would make it perfect for Norway.

No I'm not sure. I will maybe pick it out from car when the spring is coming. Now I must have focus on my Bug prosjekt to get it ready for painting in januar :)
