Probably many of you have seen this before but just in case I am posting this link to the netbugs. It is an absolutely beautiful KG with Porsche 993 motor and Porsche style strut suspension up front. Pretty, and pretty fast!

The Bader Ghia --
... is one piece of art. I believe it would give a 993/911 a serious run for its money.
But this Ghia pushes one of my buttons. This is just me talking, a personal quirk. I deliberately do not use Porsche or Porsche-look parts (example, Fuchs wheels, 911-style fan housings, brakes, etc.,) because when I beat some BMW, Lotus kit car, Mustang, whatever, I do not want the driver or crew to excuse their loss by claiming we are some kind of Porsche in disguise.

Re: An Amazing Karmann Ghia
I hear you. While I don't have a problem throwing Porsche wheels on a vw (ours is currently running cookie cutters), I can't even go so far as to put a type IV engine in our beetle, let alone try and cram a 911 engine in there. Call it a chip on my shoulder or whatever, but I am determined to show that a well-built type I engine is every bit as competetive and can hold up for all types of racing, not just the drag strip.
